How long does the Dubai Golden Visa take?
ICA processing after complete submission typically takes 2–4 weeks. Including pre-check, Medical Fitness Test, biometrics and Emirates ID issuance, the overall process is 6–10 weeks. On the property route, application submission begins only after DLD registration of the Title Deed (or from 50% off-plan payment with RERA confirmation).

What extends the duration
- Incomplete apostille of the German birth certificate / marriage certificate
- MOFA attestation not completed before ICA submission
- Off-plan below 50% paid — application is deferred
- Family sponsorship applied for in parallel instead of sequentially — order matters
- Passport with less than 6 months validity at the time of biometrics
Important distinction from Tax Residency
The Golden Visa alone does not satisfy the German exit condition. For full tax detachment, a Tax Residency Certificate, 183-day residence and substance are additionally required.
